Jenn Air-Propane-down-draft-oven/range-hose not connected-breathing fumes question?
Hi, can anyone tell me what I've been breathing for two months. My appliance man didn't connect my down-draft hose to my propane Jenn-Air when he finished servicing it. I've been smelling propane in my house and checking the dials, to no avail. Today I learned why I've been smelling it but the new service man didn't say what has been entering jenn air oven my home as a result of the hose not being hooked up. Could this be a result of why I've been feeling nausea, headaches and tired? I seriously thought I just have had the flu? After he serviced it, I cleaned it for two hours, and have baked and use the range most every day...for sixty days!Thanks for your help.I LIKE YOUR NAME PROPANE GUY!Thanks for both of your answers. I got a detector and just plugged it in....It's 9" off the floor (top of unit is 9" high)....I checked my flames and they are blue colored. I wonder what will the oven fumes omit? Is it the same as the propane top burners? Should I have the down-draft fan on everytime I cook? When I put the fan on, it always taked twice as long to cook because it's blowing the flame around, and so this is why I don't use it often. Thanks again! :) I'll be seeing the doc., too :)
